Los Angeles County reported its highest number of new coronavirus cases in a day Tuesday, July 6, by Los Angeles County health officials, but the high number, in part, was due to a backlog of test results belatedly turned in. Some 2,000 of those new cases, however, were from test results received from one lab that just submitted results from July 2-5. There were 48 new deaths and 4,015 new cases of positive COVID-19 cases in the county.
